Tradition has it that for good luck a bride should wear at her wedding something old,
something new, something borrowed and something blue, like the beautiful Hangisi pumps by Manolo Blahnik chosen by this extremely elegant bride.
The bride: Ceren (U.S.A.)
Wedding day: July 6th 2015
Wedding dress: Vera Wang
Wedding planner: La Peonia Bianca
Wedding location: Tenuta Sorvillo, a private villa owned by the groom’s family located in a strategic position on the gulf of Vietri sul mare, Salerno – Amalfi Coast. The wedding reception was also perfect thanks to the breathtaking view that frames the residence.
Wedding hair and makeup: Alessandro Mancino
For choosing the bride look, different test sessions with me and my staff were needed, both for makeup and for the wedding hairstyle. Ceren’s request was very specific: on her big day she wanted to look as simple and natural as possible.
Two different looks have been developed for the big event: one for the religious ceremony and the other for the wedding reception in the villa.
For entering the church, Ceren wanted a half up half down hairstyle, with soft and sinuous waves, gently visible under the long white veil. The bride wore a gorgeous empire waist wedding dress, in flowing silk and lace, with v-neck and long sleeves. As for the makeup, the desired effect was of a pretty natural glow: therefore, we just enhanced the healthy complexion and light colors of the bride.
For the wedding reception, the bride chose a definitely more glamorous look: we created a stylish yet well-marked makeup and a party hair updo that highlighted the backless second dress. Ceren, indeed, changed her wedding gown at the beginning of cocktail hour and kicked off the celebration with a more daring still very classy outfit, made absolutely special by a wide flounced tulle skirt with lace inserts.
Magnificent and smiling, the bride has greeted relatives and friends who had come from all over Europe to celebrate with the unique setting of the Amalfi Coast.
